It seems the older I get...the less I am able to sleep..

I just don't want to go to bed anymore..

I am having too much fun..like going on here...and playing my scrabble and sudoku games!!

Am I the only one??

I too have trouble sleeping!

Mine is due to constant chronic pain.

It’s 4:33 am and I just took a pill in hopes of sleep.

Where doo you live? And how old are you?

Once you’re past 50 you’ll find lots of age related surprises!

Yeah, it’s 24x7 so I am somewhat used to it.

Some here suffer from mental pain and there is little respite from that at all.

I just need to turn off the tv, lights, computer and just be one with the darkness.lol

Well its 9:50 here so I'm up bright eyed and bushy tailed. 

I used to be like you, it was pain that kept me awake then my Doc prescribed Amitriptyline which helps me drop off. It doesn't do much for the pain but a good nights sleep helps me deal with it better

Im lucky I've not had problems falling asleep. 

   I found on days I drank coffee too.late in the day, it's hard to sleep. So no.more after 2:00 or 3:00. 

Make your bedroom a sleep oasis. Get a small water fountain to hear as you try to sleep. Keep your room cooler.  But if that doesn't work, dont fight it or worry about sleep. Ive read that too much is bad for your health.

I've always been a night owl.  I get my 8 hrs.  It's just sometimes from like 3 to 11.

You’re not alone!  I have no trouble falling asleep - just staying asleep!  I will sleep soundly for around 3 hours then be wide awake the rest of the night - and feel like a zombie when the alarm goes off. Very frustrating!

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I have never had a problem sleeping.  I can sleep at night, I can sleep all day.  It is sort of an escape.  Life doesn't bother me when I am asleep.  

The only thing that keeps me awake is the ringing in my ears.  I find it helps to sleep in a noisy environment.  Like turn the TV on, and let them drone on about something.  I go to sleep almost instantly.  If someone turns it off the ringing wakes me up.

But then I try some alcohol.  I am a sleepy drunk.  Generally that works.
