LOL!

You need to attend one of my open door meetings then, Blue. In fact, I played your shuffle dance video the other day. I challenged everyone to give it a whirl for a raise. I love it, so did they, lol. I, actually made the shuffle dance part of one of my workouts. I'm trying to kick my emotional blues. It definitely helps! Thank you for the introduction.

I have occasional sleeplessness. I have Melatonin gummies for children that I take if absoultely needed. They have proven to work for me. I'm petite so I don't need anything strong or stronger in this case. Of course, I don't know if it's the "placebo effect" tricking my brain into thinking it's working, lol. Also, if in the mood, I will drink a cup of SleepyTime Tea by Celestial. SleepyTime has a blend/combination of ingredients that includes melatonin and chamomile to support relaxation. I'm a in moderation type girl, I don't believe in having too much or too often, especially to the point where it may become habit forming.

Wishing you sweet dreams, lady4u!

Yes, I forgot about Sleepy Time! Thx for reminding me!

Yes, I took it & it didn't work for me at all. Didn't even make me drowsy.

I use medical marijuana (the gummy candies) for my arthritis & an unexpected side effect is that I sleep like the dead! If it's legal in your state, I urge you to try it.

I could do with some of that.

Hey Blue! I don’t know if marijuana is legal in the UK but I brought it with me when I visited in June.  (I didn’t get stopped at customs - it was in my purse.) If you need a sleep aid that doesn’t make you wake up feeling drugged the next morning, pot is definitely your substance of choice!

Thanks JPT. It's still illegal here but I believe the police target dealers and criminals high up in the chain. And those that use kids, but that hardcore drugs. Pot shouldn't be illegal anyway and definitely should be allowed for medical use, proven benefits. Thanks again.

I am drug tested every 3 months by my Pain specialist. It is against the contract I have with him to use medical marijuana.

Thx tho!

@ lady4u - My mother also gets tested every 3 months by her pain management Dr. Last year he approved CBD Oil as part of her treatment option. However, it wasn't for her. I don't know about the state of Ohio, but New York State is one of the 46 states where CBD is legal. There are many different kinds, maybe discuss this with your Dr to see if it could be an option for you. Of course, it may or may not be for you regardless.

It's now legal for adults 21 and older to possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis/marijuana, and up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis for personal use New York, as well. So, they may smoke or vape wherever smoking tobacco is allowed under the smoke-free air laws. Again, it's not for everyone.

I have been taking Melatonin for a long time, even that my doctor told me that it is bad for me because I have GERD. Melatonin is working for me that I don’t get up in middle of the night anymore. I have a hard time to fell asleep before I started on Melatonin. I do not see any serious issues other than just GERD.

I tried it and it worked.

I find that CBD & chronic works better. The sticky of the icky. Like JPT, some great bud for the pain and I get the added bonus of good sleep.

Yes I do all the time. I get the 10mg. I take two when I need it. Note: if you take too much or take it too often it won't work after awhile. I learned this the hard way. However if you stick to two a night or every other night you can take it without much risk. It does work very well (for me anyway)

Have been told that I need to give it a try. Everyone I know that takes it raves about how great it has been for their sleep patterns.

I took it one time during a period where I was not sleeping enough but would never feel tired when it came to bed time. But the next day I woke up and had really awful dizziness, and I found that's a not uncommon side effect of melatonin. So I haven't taken any since then. I have a whole nighttime routine instead that helps me wind down to sleep, and that works very well. That and not having any caffeine after about 2pm.

I think I drink even water too late in the evening! (sigh)

Oh no, does it wake you up at night? That's the worst!

Yes, my bladder is older now, and wakes me for a wee at the oddest hours! Lol.
