Many people including Elon Musk and Neil DeGrassi think so. An alternate universe is based on a previous one that has been created by something or someone else. It is based on our old universe but it has glitches.

For example:

The Monopoly Game guy having a monocle but he never had one

The Fruit of the Loom icon has a cornucopia but not anymore

Jiffy Peanut Butter never existed.

These are examples of the Mandela effect, named for an incident where many people remember that Nelson Mandela died in prison but others think he became the President of South Africa.

I personally remember:

I remember Actress Susan Pleshette died of smoking in the 1970's, but really died in 2008.

Greenland and Iceland changed names to reflect their climate, but never did.

Douglass MacArthur died at the age of 99. It was announced on the CBS News with Walter Cronkite. It never happened.

Comedienne Elaine Boosler said: "If the 50's were so good how come all the children of the 50's are in psychoanalysis?" I have looked for this quote over an over again and haven't been able to find it Yet it was very popular with my friends around 1980-2.

Check this video out. The first 10 minutes are what I am referring to:

Do you have any examples of the Mandela Effect?

Nope, same old universe I started with!

The power of suggestion is amazing!

A number of people who are very mentally unstable could be thrown for a loop by conspiracies such as this one.

The old conundrum of what was there before God created existence is fascinating. Life as we have always known it exists on one plane… there are many others, in my opinion!

But we are not in a simulation.

It’s as real as real can get!

Imagine this. Currently our whole universe is composed of atoms. Call them type A atoms. Those atoms are a specific thing. However imagine another universe that is composed of different type of atom but which like ours, could create an different but similar universe. Those atoms are called type B atoms.

Our eyes and other senses would not be able to see the other universe because they were designed only for a certain type atom. But every once in awhile there are enough similarities between type A atoms and type B atoms that they can meet and perhaps change our universe.

Ummm, I don’t believe God would create 2 similar universes! Since God is the CREATOR, I don’t buy that theory.

But you do you! :)

When I mentioned the different planes I was speaking of time, to be exact!

God states in the Bible that HE is “I AM!”

Speaking about and identifying HIMSELF!

I  AM is Present Tense PERMANENT !

In other words, outside of time as we know it!

Mind blown?

My theory of type A and type B atoms could also explain Heaven and life after death. We go into a different dimensions.

And yes my mine is blown.

When I first got Schizophrenia and didn't know, I lived in a completely different reality for about 3 years. It's called psychosis. I believed there were cameras in the walls, I was getting messages through the tv. I believed people knew what I was thinking, which is a bit disturbing. I thought I'd died and gone to Hell the experience was so bad. Ultimately I came to the conclusion everyone in my life is part of a game. The object of the game is to get me to kill myself. But I'm still here. Pure luck. Chester Bennington said something once. When he's out doing stuff with LP he's good. But he should not be left alone with what's in his head. Imagine the most excruciating physical pain then convert that into mental.

Lady's comment on creation is very interesting. I've read about a theory that explains God exsists outside of time. You then don't have the problem of what was here before time I assume.

I think that God is too great for my puny human mind to conceive. God would also require a different concept of cause of effect in order to exist or be understood by humans.

For example, if God created the Universe, who created God.

You are correct, sir!

Take a course in Theology, it will actually blow your mind. It blew mine, and left me inspired by the authority. It will show God, by definition, is the creator of the whole universe, therefore he is the creator of time. So he's not limited by the time dimension that he created, so has no beginning in time God is the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity (Isaiah 57:15). Therefore He doesn't have a cause.

There's evidence that the universe had a beginning. This can be shown from the Laws of Thermodynamics, the most fundamental laws of the physical sciences.

The Bible states we don't use our whole brain, therefore we cannot understand the answers to our questions on how it all happened even when explained. God promises that one day we will understand, because he will give us the gift of using our whole brain. The fact that everthing is perfectly in place for our purpose here on earth is on example of evidence (for me) to believe that there is indeed a powerful force behind it, There's many religions, many that believe different from each other, but all of them believe in divine power.

The couple Mandela effects that come to my mind are two mentioned.

First, as indicated many people including myself, and my best friend thought that the Monopoly guy, Mr. Monopoly wore an old fashioned one eye glass piece aka monocle hence Monopoly. However, he never actually wore one. Huh!?! No doubt we related this unbelievable confusion with the Planter's Peanuts guy, lol.

Also, indicated the Froot Loops Cereal by Kellogg's is actually spelled Froot not Fruit. I believe we think things to be as we were correctly taught. The correct spelling of fruit is not froot. The truth is I didn't put much thought into the play on the word fruit at all until it was pointed out. After all the cereal was a variety a fruity flavors and colors, right?!  With that being said, the two examples are much different than intentional untruths that are forced upon us today.

Interesting question!

Okay, so how to you explain the cornucopia on Fruit of the Loom?

Have you ever had a memory of something that you believed happened most of your life and found out later it didn't? I have, or at least I think I have.

I checked out the Monopoly Guy after I wrote this question. It turns out the is an artist who used the Monopoly Guy/

No surprise. Manufacturers often change their product logos to grab attention, like the NEW Fruit of the Loom logo. In fact, the NEW logo has been used on all of the brand's since January (2023).

So the video lied about Fruit of the Loom.  thanks for that info.

Very interesting, Blue! Is this movie kind of like Gumby and Pokey adventuring through any book? Lol!

Remember Gumby, Pokey, were able to go in and out of many books to explore different (imaginatory) times in history?

+2

That show is new to me Sandy but they do go on a bit of an adventure.

Spoilers people. I don't think they explored history. The main plot was that there was a duration of time difference and they exploited that for financial gain and business. From what I remember.

Gumby (and Pokey). Pokey being Gumby's  horse friend was an  interesting childrens clay animation cartoon created and molded by Art Clokey years ago.. I watched it many years after it was released because I enjoyed the clay animation of Wallace and Gromit years later.

Parallel sounds quite interesting. I'll definitely watch it soon. Thank you, Blue!

Hey Sandy, no problem. I did google it to have a quick look. Thanks for the info. Hope you like the movie.
