Autumn or Fall?

I grew up calling those months Fall, as my parents did!

At elementary school we learned the descriptor Autumn!

I grew up in Appalachia. We couldn’t afford Autumn; we had to settle for Fall.

My family members mix it up by using both.  However, I prefer the less formal of the two; "fall."
