Would a rich and wealthy person be very motivated and very inclined to fabricate stories to make money for themselves?

I do not think that any rich and wealthy people would ever want to and be very interested in making up stories to make a fortune for themselves, as they already have made a lot of money for themselves and they have also accumulated a very substantial amount of money for themselves too.

Only very poor and very financially impoverished people would be highly motivated and highly inclined to fabricate any money-making schemes to make money for themselves, as they lack a healthy amount of money in their own lives.

The more money that any person has made for themselves and the more money that any person has for themselves, the less likely that they will ever want to invent/ cook up any money-making stories for themselves.

Anybody, rich or poor, can do that.

Lying or fabrication is not class specific. Rich or poor people have equal ability to lie for personal benefit.
