Yes, they do - especially if they have alzheimers or some other form of dementia. I always tried to remember that they gave me lots of care when I was growing up. If it gets to be too much for you, perhaps you can periodically seek some respite care for yourself. And keep in mind that loss of independence can be devastating for the elderly. I wish you and your elders all the best!
